Advanced Care Oncology Center opened its doors in October 2017 with PET/CT scanning services. The center was founded with a single aim: to provide premium oncology care to all income groups, from Emiratis and expatriates to patients visiting from across the region.
In February 2018, ACOC expanded its offering with the launch of the Chemotherapy Department. Led by Dr. Tarek Alkhouri (Chief Medical Oncologist) along with Dr. Batool Abood, Dr. Medhat Faris and Dr. Mohammed Alawy, the infusion unit combines targeted therapy, hormone therapy, and immunotherapy protocols — with every treatment plan decided by a multi-specialty tumor board that reviews patient's case individually.
In September 2019, ACOC completed its integrated oncology model with the opening of the Radiation Oncology Department. The department, led by Dr. Ismail Ghorbel, offers IGRT, IMRT, VMAT, SRS, SBRT and DIBH — the most advanced radiation techniques available — delivered by a multidisciplinary team selected for their depth of clinical experience.

On February 2025, ACOC has acquired its second Linear Accelerator, HALCYON (2024 model), capable of high-precision radiation therapy procedures, enabling our services to expand and treat our ever-growing patients. Also on February 2025, Burjeel Holdings, the leading super-specialty healthcare provider in UAE has announced ACOC being the established oncology network, following its successful acquisition of 80% stake.
Today, ACOC operates as one of Dubai's most complete oncology centres — offering PET/CT diagnostics, Infusion Therapy, and state-of-the-art Radiation Therapy in a single, patient-centred facility. We continue to expand our specialist team and invest in technology to serve patients from the UAE, the Gulf, and East and West Africa.
Recognized by the European Association of Nuclear Medicine with PET/CT EARL Accreditation, ACOC stands as the only accredited facility in the UAE.
In October 2021, ACOC received the Certificate of Medical Prescription Audit from Bienzobas, aligned with European Medicines Agency, National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), and National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) standards.
In September 2024, Advanced Care Oncology Center achieved Diamond Accreditation — the highest level awarded by Accreditation Canada — recognizing its commitment to international standards of excellence in quality care and service.
